                                secrets...

a series of small porcelain vases, each carrying a secret from a stranger - put out into the world.

"im still in love with someone else" "i wish you trusted me instead of her" "you look at me unknowingly that i never loved you" "i kissed a man twice my age. i miss him" "sometimesi convince myself all the pain & betrayal i've feel is punishment from a past life. when i am unloved, abused or hurt i tell myself to take it" "i wish i wasn't infatuated by you" "i write a book on experiences i've had with people i've dated / talked to and refer to them as certain flowers to keep them nameless" "i feel like i'm never going to feel like enough" "i'm terribly afraid i'll never fall in love" "i don't know why i keep trying to be your friend when u dissapoint me over + over" "i think we can work things out" "i'm deeply deeply in love with my best friend" "i'm scared to admit to myself that it may be over" "i wish i could always feel okay in my body" "i cant believe i still think about you it's disgusting" "love makes things messy. i've made things messy, but nothing feels better than love everywhere." "i'm afraid of everything that 'could' be. i never seem to be living in the present" "i need to stop comparing my art and my success to that of my friends" "the love i feel is daunting, yet i pray it will lead me somewhere safe" "you made me feel stupid and i still can't bring myself to hate you"

this project was my first time ever working with porcelain (which is known to be tempermental). I find the challange of this material to fit this work - some of these pieces have cracks and running text - but it is in line with the vulrability of each submission.
